Ceiling lamps, made of a one giant slice of plastics
The Onion lamp was a by-product of Daria diploma research. Unusual selection of everyday material used in its body (plastic foam) closed in elegant shape. The lamp measures circa 50 cm in width.
Smaller and larger version has been developed later – the Shallot (35 cm) and the Onion XXL (75cm). Lamps are delivered to customer in flat box and has to be formed (in a snap, we promise) by its owner.
Between 2008 and 2019 these lamps were produced in low series by our own family-run manufacture.
The Onion lamp got a Finalist of Well Designed Awards 2009 (Dobry Wzór) Certificate – prestigious prize of Polish Institute of Industrial Design. In 2018 has been selected by National Museum in Kraków to join their modern design collection.
